Mixer is the 45th Expert floor in Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball and the 84th Expert stage in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. It also appears as the 194th Ultimate stage with continues and the 234th without continues.
In Story Mode, it appears as World 10-8 and is given a 9 out of 10 difficulty rating.
Description[]
This is considered to be a very hard floor. It is comprised of three motionless platforms. The player begins on the first platform; the final platform hosts the goal, and the middle platform has no features. In between these platforms are two rotating beams, one rotating clockwise, one rotating anticlockwise, making them rotate towards each other.
Goal Tutorial[]
To get to the goal, roll across the beams. The player must time his or her movements well to cross the beams by wedging himself or herself in between the two platforms when he or she is in a state that makes the gap in between him or her narrower than the player. The next bridge of rotating platforms is longer, so more precise timing is needed. Try to go at full speed and at an angle once the width between the beams is slightly narrower than their positions, and roll into the goal.
There is a trick to this stage, where if the player holds up-left on the control stick across the second set of beams, he or she will roll much faster. This feature also appears in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, but the player will roll faster automatically no matter what, even if he or she does not hold up-left. This feature is likely not intentional since it is considered to be one of the top four hardest Expert floors in Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball.
Trivia[]
- This floor has the highest difficulty rating of any of the Storm floors.
- This floor contains a double banana. The last banana bunch is actually two banana bunches in the exact same spot. Collecting it will increase the banana count by twenty and will play the banana bunch collection sound twice as loudly.
