Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll is the second handheld game in the Super Monkey Ball series released for the Nintendo DS in 2005 in Japan and 2006 for the rest of the world. It was developed and published by Sega.
The Main Game is the same as it was on the GameCube titles. In fact, it basically is because most of the floors are ripped from Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2. This is the first game in the series that doesn't have a choice of difficulties. Instead, now it goes by separate worlds, each one becoming harder than the last. The Main Game consists of the same core gameplay, you control the stage by using the D-Pad or the DS Stylus to guide your monkey through obstacles and to the goal, while also collecting bananas to earn score and get extra lives by collecting 10 of them.

- Like other Super Monkey Ball games, the main difficulty of this comes from control issues. The D-Pad and stylus are hard to use, and the Circle pad (3DS only) is not much easier.
- While the characters do have different designs in this game, they are not the revisions from Banana Blitz.
- This is the only Super Monkey Ball game where MeeMee wears red dress shoes. This feature is absent in other games.
- Most of the floors in this game are taken from Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2. While the floors do contain minor changes, only a few of this game's stages were designed from scratch.
- This is the first Super Monkey Ball game in the series where Amusement Vision is neither seen nor credited, due to its merging with SEGA.
- All of the world songs (exept for world 2 and world 12) are heard and remixed in Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.
