The Ultimate Mode emblem

Ultimate Mode is a collection of the previous difficulties, exclusively found in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. It is an endurance test of at least three segments, 210 stages in total, or at most eight segments, 300 stages in total. Stages exclusive to Story Mode are not included.

Due to the sheer length of this difficulty level, it is possible to save your progress between each segment so that you can quit the game and resume later. This is a feature only seen in Ultimate Mode.

Order of segments

From start to finish, the order of the segments is as follows:

• The 40 Beginner stages
• The 20 Beginner Extra stages
• The 70 Advanced stages
• The 20 Advanced Extra stages
• The 100 Expert stages
• The 20 Expert Extra stages
• The 20 Master stages
• The 10 Master Extra stages

Variable number of stages

The actual number of stages that you get to play depends on if and when your first continue is used during the playthrough. If a continue is used, the next set of Extra and Master stages will be skipped. Below is a list of all possible playthroughs of Ultimate Mode.

• 210 stages: Beginner, Advanced, Expert
• 230 stages: Beginner, Beginner Extra, Advanced, Expert
• 250 stages: Beginner, Beginner Extra, Advanced, Advanced Extra, Expert
• 270 stages: Beginner, Beginner Extra, Advanced, Advanced Extra, Expert, Expert Extra
• 290 stages: Beginner, Beginner Extra, Advanced, Advanced Extra, Expert, Expert Extra, Master
• 300 stages: Beginner, Beginner Extra, Advanced, Advanced Extra, Expert, Expert Extra, Master, Master Extra
